Calamari Fresco

At around 8 p.m. in the evening yesterday I decided to take a nice long shower and then go to bed nude with wet hair and either sleep through the night or have energy for a party later.

Similarly to most nights I make this decision, nobody calls and I slept through the night. I've been trying to give my body more of this "sleep" to prevent aging and crippling diseases.

There was a long period that went by and I realized I couldn't remember any of my dreams. Probably mostly because I'd only sleep in 3 hour windows, go to work, sleep 3 hours, go to party, sleep 3 hours, and again and again. Weekends I would go into a coma and then back to the week.

This whole 10 hours of sleep thing brought a night of dreams with it.

The first time I woke up I was taking a break from super slowly and constantly trying to evade zombies by driving around the oh so foggy streets of santa monica in a golf cart that was riddled with problems.

The dream actually felt a lot like one of my first memories, which happens to be of a nightmare. My first memory, is also my first dream memory, and I was 1 or 2 years old, I suppose I should tell it now that I've started.

I had a nightmare at the time that I was on a walk in this same santa monica neighborhood of my dad's (that he still lives in) with my family. I was in a stroller. While we were walking people from the neighborhood told my family about a Gorilla that had escaped from the zoo. I was terrified. Then there was a scene drowning me in terror inside my dad's house in the entry way (a lot of my dreams/nightmares have that) and for some reason I crawl to the door and open it? there has been a pounding, and it's the gorilla and he's there to get me and he grabs me.

In reality, I was sleeping next to my mother who happened to be wearing an extra furry sweater thing, and at the moment the gorilla had "grabbed me" I had rolled over face first into her side and woke up violently hitting her trying to escape.

Anyhow, this golf cart zombie dream was very reminiscent in look and feel to the stroller gorilla escaped from the zoo one.

I remember getting out on foot after driving over a zombie's head that lodged on the tire rendering the cart useless and thinking "fuck I don't have any weapons. what the fuck is wrong with me? I need a weapon."

Then my other dream was not a zombie thriller, but the lighting was the same. Both dreams were that foggy grey/green/blue light they use so often in scary movies where no warmth comes across at all. This second dream my only clear memory is standing over an empty and open casket.

Well, this is it, my first blogspot entry. No limits! It's the wave of the future.
